Good afternoon everyone. Here is a quick summary of what has been going on recently and a brief overview of the next update
A few minor bug reports have come in since the bug-fix yesterday and I’ve investigated and resolved them. Until the next update you will need to be mindful that some of the dialogue checks may not work properly when you change location, i.e if a dialogue opens up at 9, the dialogue might not be available if you travel to the location of the dialogue at 9, instead you should travel to the location at 8 and advance time. This issue has been resolved for the next update. I know it’s a bit of a ball ache but its the nature of the development process. Some pretty big changes to the core code have been made to improve performance.
Various graphical glitches have been fixed.
For the next update I will be adding content for several stories, in particular the Marcus story will open up a little more and more dates for Christine and Shelly will be added. I want to get as much of this sort of content done before I progress the core story. i.e Sarah’s story will not progress further than going into hospital for her operation for a few updates. There is a good reason for this but explaining it would involve spoilers so you will just have to trust that there is a method in my madness.
Before I sign off I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported this project so far and especially those who continue to do so. I genuinely appreciate every bit of support I get no matter how small, If everyone who played Deeper donated just $1 I could go full time and bring in extra help to really speed up the production of the game, but I understand that some people truly can’t afford it, and others just don’t want to, so it is not lost on me how awesome it is that some people do.
